narrative essay

Since birth I grew up with a reading disability called dyslexia, which is when people read or speak backwards. This reading disability leads me to not do so well with school work like studying; homework and read aloud in class would be very humiliating for me in the middle of class. It was hard growing up trying to achieve a high grade because of failing the test because I had read a question wrong. My parents would always tell me that all I had to do is study more but I soon realized that I had to do a little more to achieve a higher grade like extra credit but sometime that wouldn’t even be enough.
My older sisters would always achieve much higher than me and tell me that it’s not hard and all I had to do is to apply myself to my school work more, but everything would come more fluently to them because they had no disability when they w ere growing up. They knew little of my reading disability that I had and would think nothing of it because they didn’t fully understand it at the time. Both of my older sisters would help m e though so of my tough homework and practice reading with me which influence me to try harder in school. Threw many years of tough homework’s, long nights studying for test and the study session with my sisters and the help from my sisters I felt I was finally becoming smarter.
I also was a big influence on my sisters as well and I didn’t even know it at the time. As I grew up and got more intelligent with the help from my older sisters, they found out about my disability and them though to themselves “if he can achieve that high of a grade with his disability, what I can do if I really applied myself to my school work.” So they would apply then selves that much more to their school work. Then I realized that I was a big influence on my sisters, b y trying harder in school with my reading disability they would try harder in school and I had no idea about it. I think that you can influence anybody if you have the passion and determination in you to try and help that person, as my sisters did with me and my disability that help me achieve a higher grade in school. You can also influence other people lives and you may not even know it until many years later or you may never know the influence you had on someone’s life, as I did with my sisters. By seeing that I had a challenge in school and was still maintaining a decent average would influence them to try harder in their school work as well. Would your sibling act the same way and try to help you the same way that mine did?

compare and contrast

My two favorite things i love to do in my free time is to play the drums and bass. they are two very alike and different things in there own way.The drums you may play sitting down and the bass you have to play standing up but both of them are musical instraments. The drums are a percution instrament and the bass is a string instrament but both of these instraments you can play in a band or on stage. These are just some of the likeness and differents about the brums and bass.
