Mrs. jones wanted to help out some how so she said the roger mother that she will rasie the child her self and the women said "go ahead". Now Mrs Jones is rasing roger as a young adult on her own.

moral responsible

The responsible of the moral education at home should be taken by both the child and the adult. the reason why is because the child some find the time in each day to take the time out and study for a test or just read a book. The adult is also to blame to because if the child isnt taking the full responsiblety to study the adult should step in the try to help the child study more.
The school are also the blame as well because if they see that a child is falling behind in school a teacher or somebody else should step in like a tutor and help the child out with there problem. Another way that the school can take responsiblety for the moral education of a child is the way that a teacher is teaching the class. If the teacher give no efort into educating the chlidren then that teacher should be replace by a teacher who will help the child to learn and be well educated for the real world.

1. The story says Mrs. Mallard “had loved him [her husband]–sometimes. Often she did not.” If she was “often” not in love with him, why did she marry him?
She married him for the money or because her parents made her marry him.

2. What was life like for Mrs. Mallard in the home of Brently Mallard?
life was not so good because she sometimes loved him so she was not that happy with himand wanted something more for her husband

3. In the report of the train accident, Brently Mallard's name was at the top of the list of fatalities (Paragraph 2). Does this information mean that Mallard was an important citizen in his community? Does it also suggest that perhaps Louise married him, in part, because of his standing in the community?
This information could mean that he was an important citizen and that could be the only reason why Mrs. Mallard married him.

4. Do you believe Brently Mallard mistreated his wife? In answering this question, keep in mind the following: (1) In Paragraph 13, Louise Mallard recalls that Brently was kind and that "he had never looked save with love upon her." (2) However, Paragraph 8 had previously informed the reader that Mrs. Mallard's face "bespoke repression," and Paragraph 14 says Brently had a "powerful will bending her."
i think that mr. mallard did not mistreat his wife, i think mrs. mallard used him for his importrnt in the community.

5. How much of Mrs. Mallard's apparent unhappiness in her marriage was her own fault?
Not much of her unhappiness was her fault because back then the woman didnt have much choice in marriage

6. After Mrs. Mallard receives news that her husband died in a train accident, she goes to “her room.” Do these two words mean that she slept separately from her husband? Does the fact that no children are named in the story indeed indicate that she and her husband slept apart?
When Mrs. Mallard heard the new of her husband death she went to her room because after someone dies the room is now hers because of the death of her husband

7. Research the life of Kate Chopin (1851-1904). Then decide whether the death of her husband in 1882 influenced her when she wrote “The Story of an Hour,” published in 1894 in Vogue magazine.
I think that the death of Kate Chopin husband heavily influenced her to write the story "the story of an hour" because she still was greeving over his death

8. Did author Chopin herself face problems similar to those of Mrs. Mallard?
The author chopin might had problem very similar to those of Mrs. mallard because she could of had a very unhappy marriage and wanted to write about it.

plot summary

Ryan Jones
Plot summary:
Chopin’s “The Story of an Hour” is the story of an hour in the life of Mrs. Louise Mallard, a young woman whose wrinkles portray “repression” and “strength.” As the story begins, the narrator reveals that Mrs. Mallard has “heart trouble.” Her sister Josephine and her husband’s friend Richards have come to her after hearing of a railroad disaster that has resulted in the death of Mr. Mallard. Both are concerned that the news will make Mrs. Mallard ill and Josephine takes great care to tell her the news as cautiously as she is able. Mrs. Mallard reacts to the news with “sudden, wild abandonment” and locks herself in her bedroom. In the solitude of her room Mrs. Mallard understands the fundamental change taking place in her life. She sits in a chair, no longer crying, looking out the window at the “new spring life.” She “suspends intelligent thought” and fearfully waits for a “subtle and elusive” idea to “possess her.” She begins to comprehend that she is joyful that her husband is dead, but she attempts to suppress the thought. Once Mrs. Mallard accepts the feeling, even though she knows that her husband had really loved her, she is ecstatic that she will never have to bend her will to his again. Now that her husband is dead, she will be free to assert herself in ways she never before dreamed while he was alive. She recognizes that she had loved her husband sometimes, but that now she would be “Free! Body and soul free!” She begins to look forward to the rest of her life when just the day before she shuddered at the thought of it. Mrs. Mallard leaves her room and rejoins her sister who has been outside the door worrying. She carries herself “like a goddess of Victory” as she joins her sister to return downstairs where Richards still waits. On their way down the stairs, they hear the front door open and see Mr. Mallard walk in. He had been nowhere near the accident scene. The short story ends with the abrupt death of Mrs. Mallard, whose heart gives out. Her doctors explain that she died “of joy that kills.” I think that Mrs. Mallard was in a gloomy marriage because she might had lead and unwanted relationship with her husband because she wanted more than just to sit around the house all day and doing nothing, also her father might have pick the husband and that’s why she feels free when the Mr. Mallard dies.
